TOP 5 REASONS WHY YOU ARE STILL POOR – AND THE WAY OUT

Poverty is a choice – as is wealth.
My Top 5 Reasons Why You Are Still Poor In 2014
will prove this!
If in 2014, you are still hoping in Taxis, uncertain
when you would buy your own car, this post is for
you. If in 2014, you still don’t have a job (or at best
are on a job that you would rather sleep instead of
going to work), read on. Or at the extreme, if in
2014, you are over 25 years, depending on Mummy
for food and Daddy for security and shelter… then,
the whole blog is for you! Bookmark it, return
everyday and ensure you never miss an update!
So, winningtimes, you ask. Why the hell am I still poor
in 2014? The answers are as clear as daylight;
glaring you right in the face and challenging you to
do something!
1. YOU ARE AN INCURABLE TIME WASTER!
You’ve heard, I’m sure, that time is money. Right?
Wrong! Time is not money!! Time is 10 times more
valuable than money. Why? Money can be spent
and recovered. Time? Once it slips, forget it. Now
are you the type that spends hours on FB reading
updates (and browsing people’s profiles)? Or the
2go don that chats with virtually all primary,
secondary and university mates in any given day?
Or maybe you know all the movie stars by their
names and can correctly mention all the films (and
roles) these stars have starred in. Or you know the
exact goals a football player has scored since a
club signed him up. Does this sound like you? Too
bad! That explains why poverty is still your best
friend and serious plans ongoing for the marriage
ceremony!
- WAY OUT
Understand a simple principle: You either make
money or watch those who are making it (and
probably clap for them). That is the simple scenario
that plays out when instead of being in your office,
you are sweating someplace to watch Chelsea V.
Man. Utd. Shit! What of the student that cannot
forgo a single film by Omotola? Bull shit too!! Great
chances are that she has a degree already and is
earning real big. Why would you stop your own work
to watch her perform hers? Stupidity?
A final word: only watch others make money when
you have made your own money and can afford to
tolerate entertainment.
2. ASTROLOGY IS YOUR STRONG POINT
Great chances are that before you stepped out from
bed this morning, you had to see what your stars
had for you. Great, astrologer! But what do you do
when your stars tell you to make no move on the
10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th but only be proactive
as from the 15th? and opportunity comes knocking
on your door on the 12th?? You are doomed to die
poor!!
Or another variant. You fail your test – you blame
the village people. You have problems in your
marriage, it must be your mother (didn’t she object
to your engagement to your wife?). Crap – and
grand bullshit!!
- WAY OUT
You – and you alone are responsible for all that
comes your way. Understand that God will provide,
but before he does, you must provide for yourself.
Though the occult exist, they are too often glorified
and credited with what they know nothing about!! I
leave you with this quote:
3. THERE IS A GIANT HOLE IN YOUR POCKET
If after adolescence, you cannot keep a few dollars
in your pocket overnight, then there is no way you
can escape poverty, trust me. Extravagance can be
permitted but not beyond the sensitive years of
youth. As an adult, responsibilities would definitely
crop up that would need to be settled with money
and lack thereof, would mean irresponsibility. Curse
the woman you married and label her bad all you
want – the problem rests with you and would
simply not go away till there is a change. Or at
worst, you’ll marry poverty. Sounds good, right?
- WAY OUT
Save at least 10% of your daily, weekly or monthly
income. This savings should be used to fund
development projects or businesses that would
return even higher yields to you! You should also
look at this post:

4. FOR YOU, NEEDS AND WANTS ARE THE SAME
Needs, simply put are your necessities that must be
met for a healthy and fulfilling life. Wants? You can
call them ‘necessary appendages that one would be
happy without’ and you’d not be wrong. For a poor
guy, the first investment should not be a car. A car
in such an instance is a want, not need. For a
working class fellow (Junior cadre), a Volkswagen
is ideal – anything that remotely resembles a Benz
or Lexus is expressly prohibited and labelled a
want!

5. YOU STRONGLY BELIEF IN A 9 – 5
There is nothing wrong with a 9 -5. However, when
you are on one, don’t just expect to get rich. Be
content with your lot and let us attend to better
things!
If you are interested in making headway from your
current situation, always remember that a regular
job may pay the bills – but it ends at that. If you
want something better, create something out for
your self. Go figure out what!
Imagine a system that your income is taxed before
you see it, your pay does not follow the pattern of
inflation or has any respect for it and your pension
is engulfed by the great abyss of inflation where
every penny testifies it worthlessness! Is that a
system you would rather be in?
- WAY OUT: Look out for something that pays you
as your efforts increase – you’d sure be better
motivated. It may not be easy, but like everything
good, expect difficulty! But, whatever you do, avoid
a 9 – 5!
Lets hear you! Do you agree with me on my 5
Reasons why you are still poor in 2013? Comment!!
